Semper Fidelis...

As of October 7, 2011, DePaul graduate, Sergio Lopez '01(left), completed a two year training of navy flight school and was designated a Naval Aviator for the United States Marine Corps in Corpus Christi, Texas. The training included 6 weeks of pre-indoctrination ground school, 100 hours in the single-engine T-34 Turbomentor, 60 hours TH-57 Sea Ranger helicopter and 130 hours in the multi-engine TC-12 Huron. He will be flying MV-22 Osprey Tiltrotor aircraft for the Marines based out of MCAS Miramar in San Diego, California.

Former DePaul QB Making a Transition...
Check out The Record's November 2nd article on Chaz Cervino. Cervino '07, "graduated from DePaul as the school’s all-time leader in passing yardage (5,609) and touchdown passes (61). One of the most prolific players in North Jersey history, he also rushed for 2,161 yards and 30 scores".

The William Jefferson Clinton Scholarship...
Matt Carlson '09 will study Economics and Arabic at the American University of Dubai this Spring. A current junior at The College of New Jersey, Carlson was awarded the The William Jefferson Clinton Scholarship. "The William Jefferson Clinton Scholarship at the American University in Dubai seeks to further the goals of the Clinton Presidential Foundation to strengthen the capacity of people in the United States and throughout the world to meet the challenges of global interdependence. In partnership with the American University in Dubai, the program will provide American students based in the US the opportunity to expand their educational and cultural horizons by studying in the Arab world." - Jen and, DPCHS grad, Greg Angelillo '98 welcomed daughter, Gianna Rose, on January 1, 2012 at 9:45pm. And yes she's already daddy's little girl, which secures Angelillo as a member of the elite "DADD Club" (Dads Against Daughters Dating), according to the new father.
Mrs. Naomi Gleason 1916-2011
Mrs. Naomi Gleason, part of the DePaul Catholic family from its founding years, passed away on December 28, 2011 at the age of 95. While her husband, Jack, was the first volunteer Athletic Director for the Spartans, Naomi was hired by Msgr. John P. McHugh as one of DePaul's first secretaries. The Gleasons sent four children to DePaul, John '61, Dave '64, Jim '65, and Jane '72. Naomi always said her years at DePaul were the best of her life. The woman who was described as “beautiful in her happiness” in the 1971 yearbook will forever be remembered for her dedication to our school. USA National Miss Scholarship Pageant...
This summer, Stephanie Damiano '11 will compete for the national title of USA National Miss, as well as thousands of dollars in college scholarship money. Stephanie began performing at the age of 3. Nine years later, upon entering DePaul Catholic, Stephanie was the captain of her Freshman Football Cheering Squad and Student of the Month. She volunteers as a student teacher at her dance school, assists the director at Holy Spirit School Kiddie Camp, and entertains the elderly at The Bloomingdale Health Center and The Atrium. Currently, she is a spokes model for All Natural Skin Care and walked the Runway during the 2011 NJ Fashion Week for designer Elena Vasilevsky.

Dancing to a Championship...
- Meghan Connor '11 danced her way to a National Championship with the Hofstra Dance Team in the Hip Hop division. Her Jazz group took second place. Samara Lobosco '11, of the University of Delaware, took second in Hip Hop. Congratulations, girls!
Footloose Star...

Katrina Michalewski '11 took part in Brandeis University's HTG production of "Footloose". Katrina stood out in her red cowboy boots as Rev. Shaw's daughter, Ariel. You can find a Youtube clip

Class of 1986 Reunion

DPCHS Class of 1986 reconnected on April 21st at their reunion celebration at Hyatt Morristown. The alumni had a great evening to catch up and share memories from their days at DPCHS.
