As winter quickly winds down, the DePaul Catholic Guidance Department prepares

for a busy spring season with our students'. Mid-term exams are over, and first semester grades have been finalized. As always, I encourage you to frequently monitor POWERSCHOOL, as well as stay in contact with your son or daughters' teachers and counselors if you ever have any questions about their academic progress.
Our senior class continues to receive their college acceptances to some of the best schools throughout the country, and the spring season will be filled with excitement for them as the make their decisions about their future education.
Throughout the next several weeks, Guidance will begin the course selection process for the 2012/2013 school year. Students will meet with their counselor individually to go over their overall academic progress in addition to planning out which courses they are advised to take in the upcoming school year. If there are any questions about the course selection and placement procedures, please contact guidance for assistance.
As always, we wish all of you the best, and look forward to assisting you and your child in any way possible.
Sincerely,
John Galka
Director of Guidance
