Through a grant from Facing History, DePaul Catholic’s freshmen Honors Theology and Honors Modern World Studies classes were able to attend a performance at Kean University. The performance was given by the daughter of a women who was moved from Vienna to London has part of the Kindertransport program in 1939. All of the presenter’s grandparents were killed in the Holocaust. The grant also included classroom sets of the book, THE CHILDREN OF WILLESDEN LANE, which the students read before attending the performance. DePaul Catholic is a Facing History school and uses many of their resources in preparing lessons and applying the concepts of Social Justice.
