Academics

On behalf of the DePaul Catholic High School family, I welcome you to our website; I appreciate that you found us and that you find your visit enjoyable.

As we enter our 68th year of educating young people, we are proud to offer a well-rounded academic program that includes spiritual, intellectual, and social growth to all of your students.  The academic program will challenge all of our students, but not overwhelm them, and we encourage all students to test their own limits and experience the breadth of courses offered on the Advanced Placement (AP), Honors, and College Prep levels.  A wide range of electives are also offered to allow students to explore new interests in Science, the Social Sciences, Engineering, and Mathematics.  

DePaul Catholic High School is “The Place to Be” regarding scholarship, faith, and community.  These are the hallmark standards that distinguish DePaul Catholic from other academic institutions.  Understanding that students are not just members of the DePaul Catholic community but we are all members of a larger, universal community, we encourage and promote student activity in Christian service opportunities that serve members of society most in need.  Through daily Theology classes, and a Peer Ministry and Campus Ministry program that provides structured Retreats and Community Service, we form students in the model of service to others.  We offer school-wide Mass and a regular celebration of the Sacraments.

DePaul Catholic recognizes that students perform best in the classroom when they participate in co-curricular activities which support the academic program.  Honor societies, the arts, athletics, and community service offer our students the opportunity to put into practice in the real world all that they have learned in the classroom.  The faculty and staff challenge and encourage all students to become compassionate citizens who serve those in need and become the leaders in an ever-changing global society.

From the first day a student enters our doors, College Preparedness is a primary focus.  From our Counseling Office to our 1-to-1 computer initiative, our goal is to have students prepared for the 21st Century.
