Mock Trial is a club that is extremely beneficial to students who are interested in law, public speaking, theater, or a combination of all. Each year, the state of New Jersey releases a fact pattern, witness testimony, and rules of evidence and students must build a case surrounding the information they are given. Teams have roughly four months to completely prepare their cases, then compete at the Passaic County Courthouse against other schools in the county. The trials are done in front of actual judges in actual courtrooms and is extremely competitive. While the club is a lot of work and dedication, it is great experience for future lawyers and performers.
