The DePaul Catholic Fund is the cornerstone of fundraising at DePaul Catholic High School. The Annual Appeal which runs from October 1 – April 30 is the primary source of funding for the DePaul Catholic Fund.  The appeal provides supplemental funding that is needed to enable the school to award merit scholarships, grant financial aid, support its co-curricular programs, and plan and pay for needed capital investments.

The DePaul Catholic Fund is the primary way for parents, alumni, and friends to support the school and directly impact a student’s current experience at DePaul Catholic. Funds raised during the appeal are put to immediate use, allowing the school’s administration to offset costs in real time and invest in priorities that otherwise would not be possible. Your generous gifts ensure that DePaul Catholic students have an extraordinary experience rooted in our Roman Catholic and Vincentian traditions, rich in academic excellence, co-curricular activities, faith formation and community service.

The core values at DePaul Catholic are “Faith, Family, Community, Tradition and Excellence” and the administration believes that supporting our annual appeal is consistent with these core values.

Approximately 80% of DePaul Catholic’s student body receives some form of financial assistance in the form of an academic merit scholarship or need based financial aid. Providing financial assistance to our school families aligns well with the mission and core values of DePaul Catholic High School and our patron saints St. Vincent DePaul and Elizabeth Ann Seton.

The DePaul Catholic administration is committed to help all students that have the capacity to meet the academic rigor of DePaul Catholic High School to attend the school.  

Academic Merit Scholarships are awarded based on High School Entrance Exam results, middle school academic performance and coursework, recommendations and student interviews.

Financial aid is awarded based on need. DePaul Catholic has a long-standing "Adopt-A-Student" program that is the backbone of the funding for the school’s financial aid program.  Adopting a student is a fantastic way to make a DePaul Catholic education affordable to a deserving student. Financial aid is also made possible through unrestricted giving.

The DePaul Catholic Administration believes strongly that a DePaul Catholic education should be affordable and available to all qualified deserving students. The core values at DePaul Catholic are “Faith, Family, Community, Excellence, and Tradition” and the administration believes the desire to keep tuition affordable is consistent with these values.

Tuition alone does not fully cover the cost of educating a DePaul Catholic student. To ensure that DePaul Catholic has the best possible teachers and administrators to educate and guide its students, DePaul Catholic needs parents to give beyond tuition, with time, talent, and/or treasure. 

Every parental gift supports the people and programs that make our faith-based, college preparatory school unique. This support results in small classes taught by experienced and talented teachers; clubs run by teachers and professional volunteers; athletic teams coached by experienced coaches who prepare our student-athletes to compete at a very high level in a highly competitive athletic conference. 

While attending DePaul Catholic your child will receive more personal attention, discipline, and academic rigor. Gifts of every kind are necessary to give your child access to more than what is covered by tuition. This is why DePaul Catholic needs monthly donors, endowed scholarships, ancillary money-making activities such as summer camps, and, yes, fund-raising and volunteerism.

DePaul Catholic is supported by parents, grandparents, alumni, faculty & staff, corporations, foundations, and friends of DePaul Catholic.

The Athletic Booster Club fundraising goes directly to the athletic teams that each club is affiliated with, however, by making a gift to the DePaul Catholic Fund for Athletics, you will be providing funds beyond the booster club donations to support the purchase of uniforms, travel gear and equipment, pay the stipends for coaches, pay for our sports medicine and training staff as well as contribute to offset the costs of transporting our student athletes to and from the various competitive sporting events.
